Sometimes I enjoy the work of a page or an organization, and decide to make them a fence. And sometimes pages, new to me, approach me and I look at their work closer. I have learned of quite a few interesting groups this way.
This time it is Calling for Greater Transparency from Infant Formula Corporations that has a very good message and goal that I agree with.
In their own words:
“Trying to get the Director-General of the World Health Organization to change the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes to include a clause that specifies infant formula companies have to print health warnings on their labels.
The aim of this page is to gain support for a change in the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. That is:
-They print the health risks of using their products on their tins/cartons
This page is also against practices that are not in a child’s best interests such as: infant circumcision, crying it out, spanking, etc.”
