If you previously had a c-section and doubt you can birth naturally next time, you are wrong. You CAN and nothing and no one should stop you. Wondering how it is even possible? ICAN is a great place to find support, information and advice.
If you are someone who thinks this will never happen to you, reconsider. If you are birthing in a hospital your chances to have a c-section are pretty high in the US. But I won’t get into criticizing the system right now. All I am saying is that you need information, information, information. Be prepared for unwanted solicitation to have an induction, epidural, and everything else that eventually will lead to a c-section. Know how to say NO, stand your ground, be prepared. If they see you know more than they expected, your chances of having a better birth experience are higher. Much higher.
“ICAN’s mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC).”
