Single-parenting is NOT bad parenting as this site demonstrates, or parenting that lacks something because one of the parties doesn’t participate in the family life. In her own words:
Single Momma trying to steer my canoe out of the mainstream. Following the principles of attachment parenting and not looking back. Let’s talk about breastfeeding, child-led weaning, gentle parenting, co-sleeping, homeschooling, unschooling, and healthy diets for our families. Let’s not talk so much about baby training, hitting, or anything else that makes us wear a sadface. Let’s not be dramatic. Let’s be polite and intelligent. Let’s ask questions and not feel silly or judged. Let’s be honest and supportive. Let’s all remember that ultimately we are all trying to do what’s best for our children. Also, let’s remember that there are lots of young, single moms out there who just may be interested in trying AP – let’s always talk to them about it.
